The Juni Chair has arrived!
Recently, we landed a new shipment of stunning little seats from Smirthwaite. Sourced from the U.K., the Juni seat is something that would look great in any home or school environment.
Ideally suited to kids who require minimal levels of postural support, the classic sturdy ply construction, coupled with plenty of options in terms of accessories, ensure the Juni chair promotes better posture, ensures higher levels of comfort and helps children feel more secure and stable. This chair is perfect for working, playing or just eating lunch!
The Juni chair comes with contoured seat and backrest, a very handy built-in adjustable lumbar support, pelvic strap, height and depth adjustable seat, height adjustable armrests as well as angle adjustable backrest as standard.
Accessories include trays, harnesses, skis for further stability, a footboard, pommel and side reducer pads.

Allied Medical products – right in your neighbourhood!
Following on from our addition of the Mobility Products range, we have been working over the last few months to identify key dealers throughout New Zealand who we feel have the focus to support our products within their region. These dealers are now all up and running with both the core Allied Medical and Mobility Products ranges and we’d suggest that you check out our dealer page to find out the one closest to you.
We are working closely with each of these dealers to make sure that their teams are well trained on our home healthcare range – including their technicians to make sure they are all skilled in supporting the products after purchase. For assessors, these are ideal organisations to refer patients to who are not eligible for funding – they all stock an excellent product range and their staff are extremely knowledgeable – making sure people get the right product for their needs.
Gary Bledsoe hits New Zealand
Late last month, we were fortunate to have Gary Bledsoe – the guru of the dynamic knee brace – here in New Zealand. Gary Bledsoe is the President of Medical Technology, Inc.-Bledsoe Brace Systems. He has over thirty years experience at the leading edge of post-operative and functional brace design, and has numerous patents in this area. He has an impressive educational background that includes majors in Biochemistry and Engineering (with minors in Math, Physics and Biology) at the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas Health Science Centre (Southwest Medical School) in Dallas. He has also done a number of other courses including some Biomedical Engineering courses at MIT.
Every year, Gary gives dozens of lectures and seminars each year on the fundamentals and biomechanics of bracing. He is currently doing lecture circuits in Europe, Russia, China, Japan, and the United States, specifically on the fields of Biomechanics of Bracing, Neuro-Physiology of the Knee, and Biomechanical Principles of Diabetic Walking Boots.
It was a bit of a whistle stop tour, but for those of you who were not able to attend and are keen to hear what Gary shared, check out him out on YouTube –It’s not the best article (though a good insight to Canadian breakfast TV) –you’ll get an idea of how knowledgeable he is
