Varilite Icon Backs
 Varilite's new Icon Backs are now available in New Zealand! These revolutionary backrests are incredibly simple to install and come in four models (Low, Mid, Tall and Deep) to provide a solution for any wheelchair user.  To help us train assessors throughout the country on these backs we were fortunate enough to have Varilite's physical therapist, Susan Cwiertnia, visit us from Seattle. Susan was part of the design team for the Icon back range and was able to explain to the attendees the reasoning behind how specific parts were developed. The sessions covered selecting the correct back rest for specific clients and all the considerations that should be taken into account to provide the best solution.

Madness Day
With Show Your Ability done and dusted we were getting itchy for some dress up fun again, what better excuse than to hold one of our famous Madness Days! With the ANZ Championship, NRL and Super 14 heating up everyone has been a bit Sports Mad, see for yourself:
New Team Member: Martyn Evans
 Marty joins the Allied Medical team with a background in Medical Insurance. His interest in the role came from wanting to be involved more with individuals and their needs rather than groups. As Territory Specialist ? Lower North Island Marty will be working with anyone from Wellington up to Gisborne in the East and New Plymouth in the West. He will focus on education, product training and support for assessors, therapists and technicians. Essentially Marty is your 'Go-to-Guy' for anything Allied Medical.
Marty has a strong background in sales and service so knows his customers and clients come first. There's never anything too big or too small for him to take care of so just ask. We are here to help!
