June / July 2005 Bentley asks – how about you walking a dog like me??
By now you have probably met Bentley, either in person, or on this website. He is a chocolate Labrador who is being trained to become a Mobility Dog. Fully trained Mobility Dogs spend their time with wheelchair users and assist them with daily tasks, such as opening doors, answering phones and even taking the clothes out of the washing machine.
But Mobility Dogs really need more puppy walkers. Katie, our General Manager, has taken on the responsibility of puppy walking Bentley, and according to her, it's not too hard. "Bentley comes everywhere that I go – work, the supermarket, even out for dinner. Once a week we go to Puppy School, which is really more for me to learn how to handle Bentley properly, and Bentley gets to catch up with all the other puppies. I can thoroughly recommend puppy walking – and while everyone always asks you how you are going to manage giving the puppy up, I guess you know that you have to from the beginning so it's just how it is. Anyway, Bentley is going to someone who needs him a whole lot more than we do."

Madness Day at Allied Medical (well a little madder than usual!)
 We all had great fun on Wednesday 25 May with our third Madness Day. During the day we offer lots of our really popular physiotherapy products at really silly prices and we try and have some fun at the same time. This time, we all dressed up as nerds – and as you'll see from the photo to the right...some of us looked pretty natural as nerds!
We'll be having another Madness Day in October so make sure you watch this space.
