August-October 2005 Magic of Power
With a name like that, it can only mean one thing….wizardry of the most amazing kind!!!
Be prepared for our “Magic of Power” tour, providing a comprehensive insight into just what can be done when the magical wand of Allied Medical is waved upon any one of the powerchairs we offer, and combined with the numerous devices available to make their use possible for the entire spectrum of clients.
Presented by Allied Medical’s own man of magic, Mr Jazzy, he is joined on the tour by Australian rehab magician Ron Smelter, who has promised to bring his biggest bag of tricks!!
Don’t think rabbits out of hats,
Think magicians out of therapists…

Cushion End-to-End Solutions Chart
In May we launched a new information sheet on all the cushions in our range. We've designed this sheet to make differentiating the advantages and disadvantages of each cushion in our range as easy as possible. It contains such useful information as sizes available, cushion height, maintenance required and if a cover is available for an incontinent user or not.
We also have A3 sized ones available which are really useful when placed visibly on walls as a quick reference. Just contact us if you would like some copies for your workspace.
This chart has been designed to save time and the inconvenience of having to refer to numerous brochures and catalogues to find the right cushion for your client.
HELPFUL HINT: If there are two different cushions in our range that you'd like to trial with your client, please ask us for both - we're happy to have a 'double product trial' take place as we realise that cushion selection is such a personal thing!
New Product : Varilite Chest Harness - using backpack technology
Due to popular demand we have launched the Varilite Contoured Chest harness and now have stocks of all sizes available for trial and purchase. This anatomically designed harness has been engineered for optimal fit.
Varilite's parent company is Cascade Designs - a world leading outdoor products manufacturer (have you heard of Thermarest camping mattresses? If so, this is who makes them). It is their backpack technology in combination with Varilite's positioning knowledge that has allowed them to design the ideal contoured harness.
The contoured shape and moulded channels allow the pads to curve naturally around the user, accommodating breast tissue and other natural curves. The pads are constructed of a low-slip, flame laminated material and edge bonded to the pad for durability and comfort.
