Changes to the way we handle trials
Due to an ever-increasing demand on our trial equipment – and our commitment to get products to clients and assessors as soon as possible – you’ll notice that we have made a few changes to our trial process.
Firstly, we are trying really hard to shorten the timeframe that equipment is out on trial. Powerchairs and complex rehab equipment are only on trial for 7 days – and the main reason for that is the huge amount of demand from assessors for this equipment. We are also working with assessors to keep trials for other equipment such as Karma wheelchairs within the 14-day range – that is 14 days from the time the equipment is received to when it is quoted on – or returned to us.
Secondly, we are using email to communicate with assessors much more. If your trial time frame is up, expect an email from us. Please respond to these emails – either with another email, or a phone call or a fax. Generally we are happy to extend trials or work with assessors to find other solutions - but we need to hear from you in order to do this!
We’re hoping that these changes will assist end users of our products getting a solution for their daily needs more efficiently – and quicker! If you have any ideas on how you think we would make trials easier for you and your clients, please contact us via trials@alliedmedical.co.nz
Occupational Therapy Awareness Week Breakfast sponsored by Allied Medical
On Wednesday 1 November, Allied Medical sponsored the inaugural Occupational Therapy breakfast in the Auckland region. Over 70 Occupational Therapists joined in the opportunity to celebrate their profession.
Janelle Aitken, an Occupational Therapist who is one of the directors of Ergodesign, was the guest speaker who inspired us with her thoughts on the Expanding Horizons of Occupational Therapy Practice.
Congratulations to Sandy Ash, Elise Bergeron and the Auckland LAN Group to have the foresight to create such a memorable event – which the team at Allied Medical would like to see as an annual event, and replicated throughout other centres!!
