Did you see our very arresting stand at Show Your Ability 2007?

Once again, we thought we’d come to the party and utilise a theme to add excitement to this event! This year, we welcomed visitors to the County of Allied Medical Police Briefing Room. Not only were they provided with hot coffee and donuts, but also they were able to attend a briefing session of the changes that have been made at Allied Medical in the recent months.

But getting to business, which is what this event is all about for us, we were really pleased to launch several new products at Show Your Ability 2007:

• Otto Bock Start Junior Wheelchair
• Otto Bock Kimba Spring – the 2007 “face lift” version
• Bodypoint Positioning products (that are now available through Allied Medical)

Three new CD Rom catalogues are now available

At Show Your Ability we launched another new innovation – three new CD ROM catalogues! The three versions (Paediatric Rehab, Manual Wheelchairs & Seating and Powerchairs) are now available to assessors prescribing rehab products in New Zealand. Each version contains current product information sheets, catalogues and script forms for the appropriate product category.

If you missed ordering your copies at Show Your Ability, email us with your name and address and the versions that you’d like and we’ll get this out to you as quick as lightning!

Introducing our new Paediatric Category Specialist...

Hi, Guy here,

I know that to many assessors within the greater Auckland and upper North Island area I’ll be a familiar face and name – but times have changed at Allied Medical and in line with our new structure, I’ve become the Paediatric Category Specialist.

So what’s different I hear you say? Well I’m now one of the brand new category specialists at Allied Medical, I’m excited and I have a whole boot load of great new stuff to show therapists who work with paediatric clients right through New Zealand.

I am buzzing with energy for one main reason. Rather than darting all over the show with base level knowledge related to a large number of Allied Medical products I will now be able to spend more time focusing on paediatrics. That means I’ll be able to educate on a more specific basis and the assessors I get to work with will get a better match of product for their paediatric client’s needs.

Leckey MYGO: A great new multi-adjustable seating system with a truckload of growth built in. This slick little number allows for 5” of growth in width, more than that in depth and that’s just a mere sprinkling of what it has on offer. The MYGO not only looks great but also grows or shrinks in minutes. All this without the use of any additional parts!

Start Junior: Ahaaa, another star product from Otto Bock! This wheelchair is positioned squarely between the little yellow Karma 7520 and the other more complex folding frames that we already provide for kids, such as the Teeny Plus. The Start Junior has 2” of growth in frame depth. This can be adjusted without tools or parts in a minute flat. You say you want more! Well how about 16” seat to floor heights and a snazzy bright red frame – quite the stunner!
