We’ve got some great news to share! Not one, but two (!!) new category specialists recently started at Allied Medical and we’re sure you are as excited as we are that we now have a full team able to offer you the expert advice and assistance you might require on our wide range of products. And to help you put a face to the names we’ve put together a little introduction for you…

Powerchair Category Specialist

Hi all -
I’ve just started with the Allied Medical team and am getting up to speed with our great product range. I was attracted to Allied Medical because it has a very fresh and fun company culture combined with a great customer focus. I’m looking forward to continuing this through my focus on the phenomenal powered mobility products that I’ll be dealing with.

My background includes quite a few years in the healthcare industry mainly with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, working with their mobility products both domestically and internationally. Through this role I found that I had a passion for mobility and rehab products and look forward to helping you with any queries on the Allied Medical powerchair range. Blake Noble will still be dealing with powerchairs for some time to come (I’ve got my hands full acting as his stunt-double at the moment!!) and through this transitional period I hope to learn all I can about the finer details of powerchairs and specific needs our products are able to meet...

After work hours I’m kept pretty busy with my family - in particular my three kids. The youngest is nearly three and incredibly active while the other two are 11 and 15 years old and both very involved with sports, which mean heaps of taxing around. When I do get a spare moment though I try to get onto the water, either fishing or windsurfing, or during winter months spending some time in the snow skiing with the kids.

Manual Wheelchair & Seating Category Specialist

Hello,
I have recently joined the team here at Allied Medical to provide in-depth support across the country in the area of manual wheelchairs and seating. With 8 years qualified experience as an Occupational Therapist I am familiar with the requirements of the acute, community and residential health settings. I feel my experience and knowledge gained through this time alongside many people within these clinical environments will provide you the required confidence with advice or selection of the best wheelchair and/or seating combination for your individual requirements.

I was inspired to come on board with the team at Allied Medical due to their strong client focus, sound product range, and their continued integrity and support with their processes. The team’s professional yet outgoing and fun approach was a match I couldn’t resist. I hope my addition will provide a valued perspective with the selection, set-up, and ongoing learning and development of wheelchair and seating programmes.

I look forward to meeting and dealing with you more over the coming months.

New Product – Leckey Squiggles Stander

The Squiggles Stander is one of the great new paediatric products that Allied Medical recently launched during James Leckey’s visit to New Zealand. Designed for kids between the ages of 6-months and 5-years, the Squiggles Stander can be quickly changed from prone to supine positions within a couple of minutes.

Two chassis options are available: a gas operated, wheeled option allows the angle to be altered with the child still in the frame, or if space is limited, a more compact manually adjusted option is also available.

With ample built-in growth, almost all adjustment to this funky little stander can be done without the need for tools.

Although the Squiggles Stander comes with a bundle of positioning items included there are also optional headrests, headrest laterals and shoe holders to provide just a little more support and positioning beyond what the standard package offers.

Available in a stunning range of colours including green, orange, blue and pink we know that this easily transportable product will appeal to all families and kids who require maximum amounts of adjustment with the minimum of fuss.
