Introducing our Super Duper New Powerchair – the Jazzy 600
The Jazzy 600 is the latest edition to our already comprehensive range of powered wheelchairs. It is highly manoeuvrable, offers Mid-Wheel 6 technology and is only 23” wide – making it a perfect option to cope with in confined environments reducing the need for housing modifications. This modern designed powerchair comes with the latest Active Track Suspensions (ATS) system that ensures all 6 wheels are kept on the ground at all times. Therefore, making it a very stable chair to cope with on uneven terrain, as well as providing a great support platform during standing transfers and during times of heavy front-loading.

Proposed Carer's Strategy for 2008
The Government has recently announced some exciting news for carers. They are planning to work with more than 40 national non-profit organisations to introduce a Carers’ Strategy in 2008. With this new strategy they are hoping to redress the situation where in the past, the main focus has always been on the needs of individual patients instead of considering the impact it has got on the whole family.
They will be seeking feedback from New Zealanders who care for ill, elderly and disabled families, and will not only be looking at the various kinds of help families may need but will also ensure that New Zealanders in caring situations get the learning, information, advice, choices and support they need to cope with their role.
Public meetings will be held in various locations. To find out more or have your say make sure you visit http://www.carers.net.nz/
