Allied Medical brings the Oscars down under!
Did you know that at the end of February and the beginning of March, the Oscars were in a town near you! Well almost…
 If you weren’t able to attend this year’s Show Your Ability Roadshow, you missed out on walking down the red carpet, to meet the Allied Medical team, dressed to the nines. With so many award winning products within our range it made only sense that our stand theme should be “A night at the Oscars.” And let me assure you it wasn’t all drinking sparking grape juice and hob-nobbing – we also launched some very exciting new products – like the Varilite Reflex Cushion and the Leckey Early Activity System (EAS)

Otto Bock Swivel Units
 Due to on going product improvement by the team at Otto Bock, the Elevating Swivel units are now able to go on a left or right side – so you no longer need to specify what side you are after! Don’t you just love it when great products get improved to make life easier for us all!
Also – did you know – that if you are not 100% sure of the tube diameter for the wheelchair you are fitting the swivel unit on to, just order a 1” diameter and use a spacer when fitting it…super easy!

Varilite Wedges
For those of you who are fans with of the Varilite Evolution (air and foam) cushion – you might have noticed that a foam wedge is no longer included with the cushion. Due to feedback from therapists in the US, Varilite has decided that this was not longer needed as a standard feature of this cushion, so it has now become an accessory that you need to order as a separate item if you’d like to use it with a client. And now that it’s a separate item – you can order it to use on a Solo and a ProForm if you’d like.
They work especially well for amputees and are also a really simple way to create rake/dump for a wheelchair user.
