The Karma wheelchair hits the Enable New Zealand Common List!
Effective 1 October 2008, the following Karma wheelchairs were added to the Enable New Zealand Common List:
 Karma Self Propelling Wheelchair 16” x 16”
Karma Self Propelling Wheelchair 18” x 18”
 Karma Transit Wheelchair 16” x 16”
Karma Transit Wheelchair 18” x 18”
The standard options on the Karma wheelchair on the Common List are:
- Swingaway 70 degree legrests
- Swingback, height adjustable armrests
- Desk armrests
- Calf Strap
- Lap belt
- Antitippers
- Quick release wheels – on the self propelling version
If you require a wheelchair of a different size, or with different specifications such as angle adjustable footplates or 90 degree hangers, this then becomes classed as a Preferred Product and can be ordered on a Complex Equipment form and this script form (link here to Category 1 script form).
The Varilite Reflex cushion has also been added in most sizes – so it is now even easier – and quicker to prescribe a basic lightweight wheelchair and cushion.

New Adjustable Stump Support for the Karma wheelchair
Finally we’ve got these ready for you to purchase for your clients! The new Karma Adjustable Stump Support is designed to accommodate more amputee’s shapes and sizes. The metal plate underneath the cushioned pad allows for the pad to be positioned closer to the centre of the wheelchair and can also be extended out.
The foam pad is covered in a waterproof fabric that is able to be wiped clean and can also be removed for machine washing.
The codes and prices for these items are:
KMSSAL Adjustable Stump Support – Left $245 + GST
KMSSAR Adjustable Stump Support – Right $245 + GST
This can be fitted to existing Karma wheelchairs – and also easily fits on to the KP25 powerchair.

A great new look for our Paediatric Products!
Hi everyone!
Well, it seems that Spring has sprung and along with this improvement in the weather, a few other little changes for the better have been made within the high flying world of peadiatric rehabilitation equipment.

This is great for anyone that works with one of these two key paediatric areas and is not actively involved with the other.
