About Lift Chairs
What if the sizes of the Lift Chairs featured on the web page aren't right for me?
Pride Mobility manufactures several different styles of Lift Chairs, which we are able to import for special orders. Please Contact Us and we will send you the complete brochure, or have one of our product specialists call you to discuss your needs further.
Where can I see and try these items?
Some of the Disability Resource Centres and Home Healthcare retailers around New Zealand have one of our Lift Chairs on display. Their helpful staff will be able to assist you in finding one the meets your needs and if necessary, can order it for you.
Is it possible to trial a Lift Chair in my home?
Yes - we are more than happy to send Lift Chairs out on trial, as long as a therapist has requested it. Generally the trial time frames are for two weeks and the therapist - and sometime one of our product specialists - will set the product up to meet your needs and show you how to adjust it if necessary.
I don't have very strong fingers - will I be able to adjust it myself?
You shouldn't have a problem using the switch style hand control. It is designed for use by people with limited strength in their fingers, to ensure that they are able to be independent.
What happens if there is a power cut?
The Lift Chairs all come with a small battery back up in them that provides enough power for the chair to return to the seated position. Once this battery has been used, you will need to have it replaced.
