Length: Approx 1 hour
Tom Hetzel, the founder of Ride Designs, will be joining us to discuss research relative to the biomechanical risk for skin breakdown and how it pertains to the seating options of immersion/envelopment. The session with Tom will be a virtual round table discussion to discuss the implications of Sharon Sonenblum’s presentation (see below), its impact on Ride Designs and how they support research, plus a quick overview of current peer-reviewed research results. All New Zealand assessors are invited to join this session.
Attendees are required to complete the below Ride Designs course featuring a presentation by Sharon Sonenblum, PhD, Senior Research Scientist at Georgia Tech University, prior to the live session. If you have any questions you would like us to pass onto Tom for the discussion, please email email@example.com. All emailed questions will remain anonymous. You can also ask questions during the discussion. Certificates will be available for both the course and round table discussion.
Register for the Round Table Discussion then click below to complete the course. For the presentation, you will need to click "Enroll for free" and create an account. Then work through the presentation chapter by chapter answering a simple short quiz at each step - you can retake each quiz if you get a question incorrect.
