Q-Logic 3 Advanced Drive Control System

The concept behind Q-Logic is to have a proportional powerchair joystick control with expandable functionality so that as the user's condition changes these functions can be adjusted and added to with minimal effort and cost to match their changing needs.

Q-Logic 3 has a full-colour screen which gives the user a clear view of any function selected. The screen display is also customizable to suit the user. The background colour of the screen can be changed to maximise the contrast between icons and there is also the option to add or remove icons from the screen to suit users’ needs.

The extensive list of controls that can be added includes attendant control, dual control, head control, chin control, mini proportional joysticks and sip and puff control. All the settings for these are preprogrammed into the Q-Logic system so a control suitability evaluation can be carried out quickly and easily with minimal disturbance to the user.

Q-Logic 3 also features two 3.5mm jack ports allowing the addition of secondary switches. As standard, one is set to control the on/off function and the other controls the mode settings, however, these settings can be customized to suit the user. Both ports are stereo which allows two switches to be connected to each port and each switch can have up to three functions, single click, double click and long click. This allows up to 12 functions to be controlled.

The joystick features Bluetooth as standard which allows the user to pair with Apple, Android and Windows devices turning the joystick into a fully functioning mouse. Multiple devices can be stored in the joystick allowing the user to switch between devices quickly and easily. The Bluetooth function also allows live programming of the joystick which means that the driving parameters can be adjusted whilst the chair is being driven by the user resulting in a smooth and safe custom setting.

Another function available using Bluetooth is Interactive Assist which allows a technician to remotely access the settings on the joystick to diagnose a fault before a visit. Being able to do this means that the technician can attend to the chair fully prepared and ready to solve the issue saving both time and money.

With the addition of an infrared module, the joystick can also be used to control Tv’s, DVD players, satellite receivers, aircon units and just about anything else with infrared remote control.
