The Varilite Wedge is a closed-cell wedge, designed to reduce seat-to-back angle.  It increases the weight bearing load on the back of the thighs and therefore, decreases the weight-bearing load on the buttocks.

The Varilite Wedge is well suited for patients with a high risk of developing pressure sores on the buttocks. The foam wedge can be trimmed easily for custom fitting to meet individual needs. It can also be used to accommodate longer lower leg length.
